UniversalGiving works with nonprofits that deliver the most impact to those in need. Many people don’t know about them. But this holiday, someone should. With UniversalGiving, you can reach a nonprofit leader working 12-hour days to provide scholarships for people to attend school, learn how to read, have safe childbirth, or plant a tree, through your thoughtful contributions.
Here are Two Ways you can make the holidays meaningful — and personalized.
1) Give Gifts to Multiple Friends in One Fell Swoop
We have gifts in broad array this year. You can reach outstanding nonprofits in Lebanon, Brazil, El Salvador, Norway, France or the hundreds of countries on our site. Give a gift that would best reflect your friend’s values or their heritage. Or, give a Gift that inspires you! Educate a friend on an issue they might not already know about.
2) Raise for A Cause: Create a Personalized Page
You can easily list the Projects or Organizations that mean the most to you. Send it to your friends and family, and your social networks. (We’ve made that easy for you!)
Be a part of UniversalGiving’s movement to “Create a World Where Giving and Volunteering Are a Natural Part of Everyday Life.”

Tuesday, November 19 Adrienne Arieff will be discussing the relationship between a fashion company’s “social brand” and its “physical brand.” She’ll give the inside story on how to create a successful brand in the e-commerce space by creating an online experience that closely mimics the intimacy of the traditional offline experience. Adrienne will provide insight into how to use public relations to promote fashion brands, and how her firm balances its client’s social content and e-commerce in the fashion industry.
To guarantee a seat you must make your reservation via Eventbrite by midnight, Thursday, November 14.

Join OMpower this Saturday August 17 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the 2013 Yoga For Hope event in San Francisco. Yoga for Hope is an event for yoga beginners and experts alike and was born out of City of Hope’s efforts to expand awareness of the importance of the mind-body-spirit connection and the hospital’s unique approach to utilizing complimentary and integrative therapies such as yoga and meditation in the patient treatment programs. Participants are treated to a morning of health and wellness with the true gift being a master yoga class taught by San Francisco’s premier yoga instructors.
Last year’s event exceeded every expectation, consisting of 300 yoga participants and raising almost $30,000! This year OMpower has taken it a step further this year and will be donating $1 to every photo posted on Instagram and Twitter using the hashtag #OMpowerSFunites. See you there!
